MEDITATION:- A boon for Concentration

In the world full of hectic schedules, pending targets, losing someone close, stress be it professional or personal etc we tend to go through a lot of changes not only physically but mentally too.

There are areas of our brain which needs to be trained and exercised regularly just as our normal body muscles to maintain them in their shape and which in turn will lead to a healthy life for us.

But how ?

Many will suggest us to start working out, do yoga, eat healthy and what not. Yes they also are an effective way to maintain our mental health but out of all these methods we mostly ignore one of the most proven methods of healing and creating a healthy lifestyle i.e MEDITATION.


Most of us at least once in a day come across the social media post, or a testimonial, or an advice where people talk about how meditation have helped them to stay healthy and most importantly Happy.

So, let us discuss first in how many ways' meditation helps us in real life:-

  • Helps to reduce the blood pressure
  • Boosts our immune system t
  • Helps to reduce the pain and inflammations
  • Reduces the risk of heart diseases
  • Engineer the cognitive part of our brain
  • Helps in the stabilisation of Emotions
  • Increase the compassion and most importantly, 
  • It builds the power of concentration.

What we lack this day's are our power of concentrating or paying attention on one thing which in turn sometimes lead us to trouble. Be it our studies, our job or our home we require the power of concentration in order to understand things in much better way.

Meditation in many ways help to increase our ability to concentrate and pay attention to details which helped us to increase our ability to do things in much better way.

Concentration meditation can be practiced mostly anytime. You can train yourself to live at the moment, and become aware of thoughts as they come and go. 


Some Types of meditation which can help to build the power of concentration are :-

  • Zazen (Breathing)
  • Vipassana (Sensations)
  • Selecting an object for concentration meditation
  • Soham (or, Hong-Sau) Technique of Concentration

We really need to adapt to all this changes been going on in our World and make ourselves immune to happy and healthy life through the medium of Meditation so that we can live peacefully and accomplish our goals
